pigpigkin2008 bro,
The technique you are using on the above photo is called panning.
It's a pretty good attempt. But what you can improve is to practice more until your object become crispy sharp. That is critical in panning photo.
Try to observe more in some moto sport racing photos. Panning are mostly used in that area.
Cheers,
Piero

pigpigkin2008 bro,
about B&W photos. There is a few things that you wanna learn.
You need to see the light.
What it means is B&W photography doesn't mean a simply transfer from colour into grey scale. You need to use lighting to emphasis the characteristics of your object.
To make them pop and shows from the background.
Let me try to explain that with my photos
This is a photos about the river and trees. But if you look at the photos, you can tell the dead tree lying on the riverbank is the object.
This is a close up on a wheel. No gimmick and it just shows the detail of the rusty wheel.
The last photos I wanna show you is the mixture between the building with sky ... You wanna show strong lines and curves with lighting.
Hope it can helps.
Cheers,
Piero

piero ching!!我見到你D相明白影B&W時要好好利用光線令主題突出,反而我相中色調方面不是太足夠反差太太,我日後會好好改善同注意!!

Exactly =D
Coz B&W is very different from the colour as we see by human eye.
You need to think and plan for B&W before you shoot.
You will always find a normal convert from colour photos into B&W seems missing something, which is the LIGHT.
add oil add oil
Cheers,
Piero
