I used 70-200/2.8is + 1.4X

Can't use prime tele cos you can't control the composition in the zoo. camer to the animal distance and animal size change a lot

70-200mm / 2.8 is with 1.4X.... the max. focal length will be 280mm and aperture will be f/4 .. i also want to buy an extenion connector 2X for 打雀... but not sure if it was good enough...

yes, 打雀 should use at least 400/5.6 or 大白 (the cheapest way)

donno the new sigma 50-500 OS HSM good enough on PQ and AF speed

Photowing brother, depends on the trip, normally have the 5D2 + 24-70 +70-200, flash, seldom have tripod cos no time allow you for set up. May be have a film camera added.
