Set flash to REAR mode

Using external or internal flash really depends on the distance you want to cover.

This is similar to the light graffiti concept.

make sure the ambience lighting is strong enough, and enough exposure of the ambient. The white background is what make you unsure about the techniques applied.

For example:

1. The light meter tells the ambience lighting is f/8, 1/4 sec.;
2. Set the camera as what the meter told you; and
3. Set the flash equal to f/8's output.

Bro lokism3, frankly speaking I'm not that used to do manual settings for the flash. What I normally do would just use A/S mode, set the flash to rear mode with TTL flash (auto). I thought if I use TTL, the camera would adjust the flash to F/8 output.

With your new insights, does that mean the flash wouldn't adjust itself to lower its output?
